iLIFESAVE DIRECTOR
Dave Melmoth (Winner of Surf Life Saving Great Britain's National Life Saver of the Year in 2013) has over 30 years of experience in the film, TV, and live event industry, specialising in water safety, emergency response, and health & safety management. His background includes over 10 years with HM Coastguard Search & Rescue, 5 years as crew on the Margate RNLI Lifeboat, and many years as a beach lifeguard and lifeguard manager.
Throughout his career in the industry, Dave has combined frontline rescue operations with comprehensive event safety leadership. He has served as Event Safety Coordinator for high-profile events and Festival Director for an action sports and music festival for 6 years. He was also seconded to the London 2012 Olympics to provide water safety at Eton Dorney. This unique blend of emergency response expertise and strategic safety management across film, TV, and live events ensures we deliver the very best in both aquatic risk management and comprehensive health & safety provision.
